I just wanted to pass along another update. Over the last 10 weeks of league, my average is 220. My overall winter league average is now 202. I was averaging around 193 when I decided to tear down my game and rebuild it using the Tech Tips. I am still working out the kinks and trying to get 100% comfortable, but the improvement is steady and practice is paying off. You all deserve a great deal of credit for my recent success. Thanks again!

Specifically this is a thank you to all and especially Norm for his Tech Tip Videos.
I just got back into bowling after 15 years off. I used to average 180 back then. This summer I averaged 199 and my goal was to average 200. This winter I am averaging 194 and my goal is to be averaging 220 by April. I am currently in a bit of a slump. I have been trying all sorts of things to break it.
I watched Norms Tech Tip Videos with Tim Schaffer and I hit the lanes today to work on those different techniques. After a release drill and the initial few games of feeling a bit awkward, I started to hit on all cylinders. I noticed much more consistency. In my last 4 games I was probably averaging 205 or so with my games being in the high 190's and low 200's with one game into the 220's. I was in the pocket much more consistently, and leaving easier spares to convert than normal. My tendency is to throw a 250 game and then turn around and throw a 150 game. That wasn't the case today and this new way to hold the ball, new approach and release feels very comfortable and natural. I understand what Norm was saying with the left arm doing all the work and the right arm getting all the credit. In this new technique, the swing feels natural, free and straight. My only point of difficulty is a consistent release. I am hoping that continued release drill work will solve that problem. I am going to try this new technique in league tomorrow night. I am hoping practicing these techniques will help bring me to the next level.
Norm is a passionate and effective instructor and I thank him greatly for taking time out to do these videos. Any words of wisdom form the expert panel would greatly be appreciated.
Thanks,
Randy

Hi Laurie,
OMG what a day and evening we had here in Rochelle. Everything went realley well and Brian could not have been a nicer and more energetic person to have for the event. I talked to the participants in the afternoon clinic and all were pleased and felt that they learned alot and had fun which is the most important thing anyway. I just wish that I would have participated myself but had to make sure everything went smoothly all day. If he ever puts out a instructional video on bowling please let me know as I would be interested.
Although I am sure Brian would have liked to had a little more sleep Saturday night before leaving early Sunday morning, he came over to the other center and bowled with the owner's wife on a challenge and had alot of fun doing it. We all had fun watching. He is a great interacter with people and that is a great asset to have to do these type of events. We all had a great time. I know that I thanked Brian, but pass on that I said thanks again we all had alot of fun and am sure that he did to.
Now I want to thank you for all that you did helping me get him here, the phone calls and the emails and help with everything else, he could not have a better person setting these type of things up. As I have been in charge of getting the speaker lined up for the last six years none of the past speakers had someone that I would go through to get information from and feel good knowing that things are in order and something is not going to go wrong. I know they are all busy but sometimes I would get a little nervous because I would be told that they would do our event and then not hear anything until maybe a week before the event. Laurie you are a great asset to nextlevel bowling and I know Brian and his associates feel the same.
Thanks Again,
Ronald Hall

Hi Laurie!
Wow!!! What a day we had on August 18th!!! We received so many positive comments about the
clinics Norm and Brian conducted. Everyone was thrilled as were Dean and I.
Norm and Brian are wonderful (as I'm sure you already know). They are so personable and down
to earth. I've never seen so much energy over so long a period time as we did with Norm and
Brian. I felt bad that they had to leave and drive for 4-5 hours after conducting our two clinics.
I'm sure we will be in touch again. Norm and Brian stated they would like to be at our center on an annual basis.
Thanks for all of your help over the last year.

My name is Bonnie Wright and I am the Youth Committee Chairperson for our local association. I was able toattend the Qubica’s International Family tournament held in Michigan with Florida’s Parent/Teen division winners. I can’t begin to tell you how fascinated I was by the showmanship from the professional bowlers (Norm Duke, Cathy Dorin-Lizzi and Bob Learn, Jr.) that where there on Saturday.
I spoke to Mr. Duke after the event and he provided me with your website for further inquiries. I would like to explore the possibility of having some professional bowlers come and speak with our Saturday morning youth program.
Can you provide me with the information relating to what you offer?
Thank you in advance for your assistance in this matter,
Bonnie Wright

Hello Laurie,
My name is Shannon Barham. My son, Jay Barham, attended a bowling clinic at Thunder Alley in Wilmington/Leland, NC over spring break. We had shared some exciting news that we feel was totally related to the assistance that Mr. Duke had given to our son at his bowling clinic.
The staff at Thunder Alley has e-mailed me asking that I forward our home number and email address to Mr. Duke. Our home number is 910-XXX-XXXX or my cell number is 910-XXX-XXXX. Our email address is xxxx@xxxxxxx.net.
I was very excited that Thunder Alley shared our news with Mr. Duke. It has been incredible to see our son meet some goals that we didn't think were in his near future. Norm has made a lasting impression on our family and we thank him so much for his true kindness and extra support shown to our son!! He will never know the impact he has made on Jay and for that we are truly grateful!
